FIRST IMPRESSION OF A DREAM

My first impression on the poem I was confused because I don’t understand some of the word that were on their. I understood that sometimes we have dreams within dreams even if we find it weird sometimes dreams are good. It made me feel a bit weird and think about all the dreams I had it brought the jornal topic to my mind because sometimes we have bad nightmares and wake up in the middle of the night freaking out. My impression on this poem was good though it’s just that I didn’t understand some of the word on their.

MY THESIS STATEMENT

In my understanding Howthorne communicates his theme by different ways in different occasions in the story or novel. He has different was for his theme to be communicated to his readers and some of those ways are we are able to see and take in. In the other hand some of the ways he used to communicate his theme are harder to tell and are difficult to see in a way. He expressed his theme well by the ways he put it in the novel/essay/story. It was a little difficult to understand the theme when you barely start reading the story but as you go you will understand it little by little.

In my way of reading the story I feel like Howthorne uses characterization in a way to communicate his way for people to see the theme and the story better. I feel like he used characterization with the character Faith because their was things that seemed a little off. It seems like he used it on Faith because of the disappear sometimes in the story and appear randomly. A person who really loves you would always be your best friend and care about you no matter what’s the situation and in her role she didn’t really support young good men brown.

Next I feel Howthorne like he used symbolism in a way he organized things were in the story like the dream or it was probably really happening to Brown. The pink ribbon looked like it symbolize Faith because it would appear as she appears in the story and it connects because as she leaves during the story the pink ribbon seems to fade away also. In the perspective I see it the whole story or dream symbolizes the Brown was going through some horrible things during this life time and he felt happy at the beginning of everything but things started to change. In a way that he finds himself in the middle of the forest seeing demons and other harsh things then his with appears to leave him.

Last I feel like Howthornes used foreshadowing in a way to communicate the theme of the story to the readers. It seems that he used it in a way that things would be good for a certain amount of time but things can change anytime. He basically foreshadows that like can change in a matter of time and we need to take advantage of what we have and what we do In life. We may think we got a lot of time but some of us can be in the wrong place at the wrong time it’s as easy as that we never know the future or what’s next for us. Some of the people just think it’s easy to do this and that but when they get to do it they change the way they think because now they know how it works.

I think it's a way different thing when the author is in the room because you can ask questions to him. while the other story had me confused and just looking around not understanding some of it. I feel that when the author is in the room i get more focused because i can tell about his emotions and body language. it makes me look different at what's being said when the author is here.

YOUNG GOOD MEN BROWN

1. I think that Hawthorne's purpose of writing the story was for people to think about how crazy things can be in life. Also for the purpose that you could feel different in any type of position even if you trust the person to the fullest.

2. When the story was beginning it seemed like he really trusted her and really loved her and her name did go with her personality but, as the story went on it started getting awkward and weird between them and i feel like at the end of the story her name did not go with her personality.

3. I think that the pink ribbon signified faith because when she starts to fade away the pink ribbon starts to fade away as well.

4. I feel like everything Brown witnessed was all a dream because he ends up saying he woke up cold in the middle of the forest like he might have been sleep walking and dreaming at the same time.

5. I feel like the old man was his relative or someone that represented his town.

In my perspective he wrote the story to show that some peoples imagination can be really advanced that they might feel like they are living it in real life. In the story it mention how things went from good to horrible in a matter of time like if it was a dream. He was happy then he appeared in the wood lonely and dark hearing and seeing things.

literature analysis

The plot of the story is that the book talk about the childhood and professional soccer life of Tim Howard written by himself. He talks about him and his brother and mom also where they lived and how life was for him growing up in new jersey. He also talks about some important games he had in his career like playing for the U.S national team. The theme is him living in new jersey for his childhood but moving around the world to play for the U.S national team and for Inter. Based on the author's tone it seems like he wakes up early and gets what he has to get done finished. He seems to be energetic because he is professional soccer player and has to be fit and get his workouts in to maintain that shape. He has to be ready for the games and stay in a healthy shape and it might be harder for him because he play as a keeper and keepers don't run much but have to have good reflexes. He seems to have a lot of fun with his older brother in his childhood and he messes around with him a lot like fighting.

THE MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE

In my personnel being it depends what type of conversation you are trying to have with that person because we all prefer one way to get in contact of. Like in my perspective the best way to contact a teacher is by email same when contacting your counselor. In the other hand when i contact my parents or friends its mostly through message or call because i feel like its faster and they wouldn't expect an email from me.
